English Revision

Announcement:

There is an English Unit Review next week. We conducted the Maths unit review yesterday as we had to go out for the Learning Journey today.


I have marked the Maths Unit Review. Results were not very good with the higher order sums which some of them may not have understood what the questions were asking. Nevertheless, let's move onto the English quiz next week.

Topics: Unit 1 to Unit 6
We have finished up to Unit 5, to Town. We are halfway through Unit 6. Please kindly go through the file with your child given yesterday.

Things to know:
Grammar
Vocabulary
These 2 aspects would be important at this stage. Please focus on understanding on the meaning of the words... even during the normal Spelling, they should learn and understand what is the meaning of those words/phrases and how they can be applicable in other sentences.

E.g. vintage car. The vintage came out 2 years ago in the Unit Review... but in another context. This time, it is testing them with the knowledge that vintage refers to something old, antique. This is just an example but please do revise the vocabulary and clarify any doubts arising from these items.
